Senior Technical Leadership

The senior technical leadership team is comprised of four highly experienced oil industry professionals, two in California and two in the United Kingdom, with backgrounds in geology and geophysics.

GRAHAM
HEARD

EXPLORATION DIRECTOR

Mr Heard has over 45 years experience as a petroleum geologist having commenced work with Arco Producing Inc and then worked for Canadian, American, British and Swedish independent oil companies before retiring as Exploration and Technical Director of British independent Northern Petroleum in 2014. He has worked extensively on North Sea exploration and development projects as well as international projects on a worldwide basis. Mr Heard holds an Honours Geology degree from London University and is a previous Chairman of the Petroleum Exploration Society of Great Britain.

BROWNING-STAMP

PRINCIPAL GEOSCIENTIST

Mr. Browning-Stamp has 10 years experience as a multi disciplinary geoscientist working for a number of leading international operators and service companies both in the UK and abroad. He has broad experience working in a variety of plays and basins internationally focusing on basin to prospect scale new ventures, exploration and appraisal for both Oil/Gas and CCS, Mr. Browning-Stamp has been involved in the Zechstein Carbonates Play since early 2013 Since then, he has led a number of successful applications in the MNSH area, building the current Horizon Portfolio.

MORAN

MANAGER

Mr. Moran is a geologist with over 50 years of experience in exploration and production of domestic oil and gas assets. For the past 25 years, Mr. Moran has served in executive/technical positions with various, smaller independent oil and gas companies, primarily in California. He has served as Chief Operating Officer of Horizon Energy Partners since 2015. He started his geological career in 1970 as a geologist and senior geologist for Mobil Oil Corporation for five years, followed by geologist positions at Tesoro Petroleum, Williams Exploration and Geodyn Resources. In 1984, Mr. Moran commenced an eleven-year tour of duty with Apache Corporation beginning as Exploration Manager of the Mid-Continent region and culminating as Vice President of Exploration and Chief Geologist for the entire company, as well as a director of Apache International. Mr. Moran holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Geology from Oregon State University.

ETHRIDGE

MANAGER

Mr. Ethridge is a petroleum geoscientist with over 40 years of experience. He started his career with Phillips Petroleum Company as a Geophysicist in 1978. From 1984 to 1997 Mr. Ethridge worked as a Geophysicist with TXO Production Company and EOG in California and was responsible for recommending the drilling of over 200 wells with a 65% completion rate. From 1997 to 2011 Mr. Ethridge was Staff Geophysicist for Cimarex Energy Company and responsible for generating and conducting exploration for their Western region where he designed and supervised the acquisition of over 400 square miles of 3D seismic data and recommended over 100 wells with over a 50% completion rate. From 2011 to the present, Mr. Ethridge has been the Exploration Manager for Horizon Energy Partners and predecessor companies. Through its two operating subsidiaries in California, Horizon Energy has made two significant oil discoveries in the southern San Joaquin Basin. Mr. Ethridge has been instrumental in the exploration and development of both these discoveries. Mr. Ethridge has a B.S. degree in Geology from Colorado State University and a M.S. degree in Geological Engineering from the University of Arizona.
